MDF stands for Medium-density fiberboard and is an engineered product made by the break down of hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibers and then combining them with wax and a resin binder. It’s defect-free composition and uniform density makes it a perfect raw material for laser machines. It allows lasers to cut clean edges and engrave beautiful designs with minimum waste. Due to a great dimensional stability of MDF, it offers its users the satisfaction of accurate and consistent product.
The versatility of Co2 laser cutting and Engraving machine from Prakash when combined with engineered product MDF, can create wonderful projects with great stability. From prototyping to photo engraving , Prakash laser systems can be used in varied MDF units.
Till What Thickness I Can Cut MDF with the Laser?
Our standard machine for MDF cutting can cut upto 3-4mm but with a little customization of power settings we can cut more depth.
Why MDF Burns at the Edges While Lasering?
This is because the laser cutting of MDF is a sublimation process which means solid is converted into gas through combustion.
